Bishnoi People – Protectors of Biodiversity

Bishnoi (Vishnoi) is a Hindu religious sect, residing in Rajasthan, India. They follow 29 principles given by their Guru Jambeshwar. They are directed not to cut trees or kill animals, birds, even insects. In this era of Global Warming these protectors of bio-diversity are truly commendable.
